Website Redesign for Tri-Power Recycling Perfectly Compliments Their Commitment to a Green Planet

Tri-Power Recycling Website Redesign

When their first website designer couldn't complete their vision, the team at Tri-Power reached out to BANG! for an interesting ColdFusion Development project.

Besides a new website this recycling company in Elkhart, IN wanted a way for consumers to easily ship their Styrofoam recycling materials to them. We responded with a system that allows consumers to enter their name and address, dimensions of their box of Styrofoam, choose whether they want UPS to pickup from them, or if the consumer will drop it off at a UPS store for shipping. We then calculate shipping costs, add a handling fee, collect payment via credit card, and the provide a printable shipping label both on screen and via email.

This web application that are ColdFusion developers built uses two different API's, one for UPS and one for Authorize.net to get the job done. This was a fun project and fulfilled our client's desire to support recycling, not just in Indiana, but across the country.

A Pair of Tasty Websites For A Catering Company

fellow BNI Member who operates a Phoenix catering company was expanding to provide catering services in Palm Springs, as well as Los Angeles private chef culinary experiences. We built them a pair of websites geotargeted for each location to showcase their cuisine. We used a stock image of the gorgeous scenery in each location to set the mood then outlined their services on dedicated pages for each service.

Once the websites launched our Phoenix SEO agency started a monthly SEO campaign to get each site ranked at the top of the search results. For the less competitive Palm Springs market we very quickly got the site on the 1st page of Google's search result for many of their keyword phrases. The highly competitive LA Personal Chef market is taking longer, but we are making solid progress in increasing their visibility there as well.

Website Design for Family Law Attorney Laura Gillis

Laura was referred to us when she realized she had lost both her domain name and her website. We very quickly helped her get the domain name working again and recovered the text from the old website using the "Wayback Machine". This allowed us to get the site up in a hurry without having to write new website copy for her.

We then built her new website using a striking image of parents in turmoil leaving a child in the middle. We created dedicated pages for each of her practice areas to communicate the breadth of her practice and got the site launched very quickly to get her "back in business" on the Internet.

Website Design for Tina Ravenhill

Next up in the year was a brand new website for Tina Ravenhill. She came to us with zero branding in place so we pulled some very appropriate colors from a supplied image and selected a creative font to use for her logo. The finished site was attractive and we also supported her heavy social media presence with all the appropriate icons.

What's New Recreation - Redesign and 3 New "Sister" Websites

What's New Recreation is a long-time client of BANG! and CEO Chris Warter was ready for a new look and to expand past RV's into the Marine and Travel markets. So his "corporate site" became a place to link to all 3 of the websites. We kept the look consistent from one to the other with text content and images being the primary changes between them.

This is his primary site, and the site we use for his admin. He can log in to it and manage all 3 sites. We've used Google Maps API to calculate distances from a site visitors current location to any of the destinations on the site, and display the location on a map.

Boaters have some unique questions and What's New Marine provides some answers such as "Does that restaurant on the lake have a dock to tie up to while we have dinner?" or "Is their parking for my trailer?"

Website Redesign for Household Essentials

Redesigned Household Essentials Website

In 2021 Household Essentials was sold to a large company that specializes in providing product to other companies for sale. This necessitated a change from selling direct through the previous eCommerce site to a "Direct them to a retailer" site. Site went from thousands of pages to just two with a homepage that featured their product categories and links to retailers who carry their product. We put together a simple and clean site that provides quick and easy access to those retailers. Our Alerts system at the very top of the page was a perfect solution to announcing the change to returning visitors to the site.

Quick! I need a website!

Interior designer Connie Cracolici had purchased ad space in a magazine, but when asked what her website address was she admitted to not having one yet. A referral to BANG! solved that problem. We put together a website in a matter of weeks getting it live before the magazine's publication date. Built on our typical ColdFusion powered CMS system, the site is ready to grow when Connie is ready to showcase more of her talented interior design work.

AP Image Website Redesign Project

When the company that was hosting their old site pulled the plug on their hosting services AP Image came to us for a redesign and to handle their hosting going forward. We took their old site, gave it a major facelift and brought the technology used on the site up to current standards.

Redesign #4 for WanaRV.com

Website Design for RV Dealer

Wana RV Center has been a client for decades and this is the 4th redesign of their website. Analysis of their web traffic shows that their site visitors are predominantly mobile with a 4 or even 5 to 1 mobile vs desktop visitors so we really approached this responsive design from a mobile first approach.

Knowing the site visitor was likely on their phone we added a text me functionality to the site to make it easy for prospective RV buyers to reach out with questions for the staff.

Shortly after the site launch we also implemented a monthly SEO campaign to raise their visibility targeting the Rockwood Mini Lite series of travel trailers. As you can see from the graph below their rankings rocketed up very quickly.

We also redesigned both the Tampa and Florida Business Directory websites over the summer. Both sites now allow a site visitor to create an account, purchase a directory listing in one or more categories, upload logos, and then provide a description of their business.

These projects cover the 1st half of 2022, January through June. Check back at the end of the year to see completed websites for the 2nd half of 2022.

Is your website design getting a little stale looking? Ready for a redesign? Maybe you need some new features added to it? Contact Us and we'll give you a fresh new look for your site.

About the Author

Brian Rideout, Chief Pixel Pusher of BANG! Web Site Design is an industry veteran (sounds better than old guy right?) who started building websites in 1996 when dial-up, modems, Netscape, and 640 x 480 resolution monitors with 256 colors were state of the art. We very quickly adopted ColdFusion as our application server. We developed CMS (Content Management Systems) powered sites for our clients so they could update their own websites easily without having to pay a web designer to do so.

Times changed, Google became the dominant search engine, Adobe bought ColdFusion, and we switched to Lucee for our application server, which is an open-source CFML language server. We continued to build websites for small businesses in the Phoenix market. Brian's approach of SEO 1st Design has resulted in many businesses, particularly in the building trades such as contractors and plumbers, as well as law firms, ranking at the top of Google's results which keeps our customers healthy, wealthy, and profitable (you thought I was going to say wise didn't you? Ben Franklin's quote).

We continue to provide website design, website development, hosting, SEO services and digital marketing for Phoenix companies. More information about the company can be found on our About Us page. Click the following link for examples of our award winning website design work.
